Help Desk Specialist (Job Number:434053) *Description:* Job Description: Provide Tier-II technical support to SharePoint customers with questions regarding authentication, permissions, workflows, and usability. Job Duties: - Document problem and troubleshooting efforts using the incident management tool. - Communicate moderately complex or technical information, ideas and results effectively in both oral and written form. Provide advice to customers in SharePoint system design and optimal configuration. - Escalate unsolved tickets to Tier-III support, as needed, and report recurring problems. May interact with infrastructure team and/or development team to restore service, identify root causes, and correct problems. - Demonstrate proficiency with MS Windows and Office suite. Maintain high level of SharePoint proficiency. - Must be able to think logically and act decisively in critical situations. Ability to distinguish between different types of issues and select the correct source for solution. - Simulate or recreate user problems to resolve operating difficulties. - Summarize and report incidents for inclusion in team weekly report. - Support the Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities such as identifying Change Requests (CR) to be reviewed at CCB meetings, capturing action items/minutes from CCB meetings, and updating CR status after CCB meetings. - Participate with the customer in the strategic process to translate collaboration, process automation, and business requirements into SharePoint technical requirements. Maintain and follow detailed operational procedures. Improve quality of service delivery and provide value added customer services. *Qualifications:* REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: HS degree and 5 - 6 years of experience of relevant work experience. * Active Security Clearance - Security+CE Certification - At least one Microsoft SharePoint Certification (MCTS, MCITP, MCPD, MCSA, or MCSE) desired TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS : - Extensive SharePoint knowledge - SharePoint 2013, InfoPath, Nintex Workflows SAIC Overview:SAIC is a premier technology integrator providing full life cycle services and solutions in the technical, engineering, intelligence, and enterprise information technology markets.
